What is my motivation
What makes it so beautiful that I like being a mediator; Because it’s about people. With all their emotions, norms, values and beliefs. To achieve more harmony, to connect more with each other and to find solutions.
With my extensive life experience from politics and employee participation as well as experience in managerial positions (I am a real People Manager), I know how to bring people together. With my coaching experiences, I know what really touches people and how one can grow as an individual, but also as a team. As a result, I also see what the pitfalls are in communication.
My added value lies mainly in solving conflicts in harmony. Both interpersonal and the values and beliefs of the people themselves. I mainly focus on family businesses, education and non-profit organizations. These types of organizations are often very aware of the value of personal relationships in their organization, for the continuity of the company. And sometimes a small crack or tear can appear in it due to communication problems, which can lead to a conflict that I can mediate in without it escalating further. The aim is that parties not only understand each other better, but also arrive at supported solutions and thus restore the relationship. That those involved learn about themselves, but also about each other.
Let that be a good starting point for everyone’s further development and life experience. I have gained these experiences in my life as a manager, non-profit, politics, primary and secondary education, participation bodies, etc.
My mission
My mission rests on the following pillars:
- Continuing to develop myself through education and training
- I want to pursue the human aspect in problem solving
- After your request for information, you will receive a response from me within 24 hours and, if desired, a request to make a (personal) appointment will also follow immediately
- As a mediator, I give a clear representation of the process we are going through and what costs are involved.
My vision
My vision is that if people stay connected with each other, they also deserve a chance to come up with supported solutions from their own strengths. Every person counts! Loyalty plays a major role, especially in labor disputes. We really want to learn to understand and develop each other again. In mediation, I therefore want to shape the mediation process at an appropriate pace and complete the mediation process with a supported solution.
I strive for high quality by means of periodic intervision with other colleagues.
My services
Through mediation, you will find a solution to your conflict in one or more conversations with the other party. In mediation, the parties resolve the conflict together with the other party under the guidance of an independent mediator – the mediator. An important condition for mediation is that you are willing to talk to the other party about the conflict in confidentiality
Some basic principles for mediation are:
- Voluntariness: you are always free to terminate the mediation process
- Neutrality and impartiality of the mediator
- Confidentiality: everything that is discussed remains confidential
- A professional and structured approach: the mediator ensures that all relevant topics are discussed and translated into a settlement agreement, covenant or other document
- Attention to communication between parties
- Focus on the underlying interests rather than on the positions taken
- Within the limits of the law, you decide for yourself how you interpret the agreements and thus determine your own course.
How I work
If you want to know if mediation is the right form to resolve your dispute, please feel free to contact me. Together we discuss the possibilities.
After the informative meeting in which it became clear whether or not mediation is the best route for you, I start with a mediation agreement. In addition to the conflict description, this also includes topics such as secrecy, voluntariness and the division of costs. The mediation process is concluded with a final agreement. In this document, all agreements made are recorded in writing. Depending on the subject of the issue, this is done by means of a settlement agreement, covenant or in some other way.
As a mediator, I am your contact person throughout the entire process up to and including the completion of the mediation. I work for companies, non-profit organizations, neighborhood mediation, individuals and for referrers such as occupational health and safety services and insurers.
Quality
As a Professional Mediator, I strive for the best possible solution to the issue. For me, it is very important that the end result meets the desired quality and that the process is carried out more than adequately.
